NOVA Cidade develops and promotes training and capacity building programs focused on digital transformation, evidence-based governance, and innovation in the territories.

The initiatives presented reflect an ongoing commitment to strengthening strategic, analytical, and digital skills in public administration professionals, territorial leaders, companies, and sectoral organizations. 

The programs cover key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, business intelligence, data governance, smart territories, tourism, and agri-food, combining conceptual training, applied learning, and methodologies geared towards solving real problems.

Developed in close collaboration with national and international partners, these projects contribute to the modernization of public policies, increased competitiveness of economic sectors, and the promotion of more sustainable, inclusive, and smart territories.

With different formats — executive programs, training cycles, advanced training actions, and summer schools — NOVA Cidade's training offer supports decision-makers and professionals in adopting data-driven solutions, reinforcing the ability to transform information into knowledge and knowledge into action.

AI-Driven Local Governance

AI-Driven Local Governance is an executive training program aimed at leaders and decision- s in local and regional public administration, including metropolitan areas, intermunicipal communities, and municipalities.

Aligned with the National Strategy for Smart Territories (ENTI), the program aims to strengthen data-driven governance and Artificial Intelligence capabilities, promoting public policies based on evidence, public value, and equity.

Digital Transformation Training and Action Project (PFATD) | Data-Driven Agriculture

The Digital Transformation Training and Action Project (PFATD) – Data-Driven Agriculture is part of the IEFP's +Digital Leading Measure, co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

The program aims to empower agricultural leaders and entrepreneurs for the digital transformation of the agri-food sector through a data-driven approach applied to the business context. 

The initiative provides for three editions of the program, in a blended format, targeting the North, Center, and Alentejo regions.
