Background

AI-Driven Local Governance is an executive training program aimed at leaders and decision- s in local and regional public administration, including metropolitan areas, intermunicipal communities, and municipalities.

Aligned with the National Strategy for Smart Territories (ENTI), the program aims to strengthen data-driven governance and Artificial Intelligence capabilities, promoting public policies based on evidence, public value, and equity.

Challenge

To empower public decision-makers to respond to the digital and climate transitions by equipping them with the analytical, organizational, and ethical skills to adopt data-driven and AI-ready governance models.

Objectives

  • Strengthen skills in data-driven public policies and Artificial Intelligence
  • Promote good practices in data governance, open data, and advanced analytics
  • Support the design and testing of smart territory policies and solutions
  • Foster a community of learning and collaboration between territories

Structure

Program structured in two complementary phases:

  • Hybrid training: 4 hours of training per week over 6 weeks, combining face-to-face and online sessions, focusing on data-driven governance, analytics, and artificial intelligence applied to the local and regional context
  • International immersion experience: intensive 1-week program led by The Gov Lab (NYU), combining technical sessions, institutional visits, and synthesis work geared toward the practical application of concepts

Pedagogical model

Hybrid and immersive model, combining conceptual and applied training, collaborative learning, and experience sharing among public decision-makers, with a strong focus on practical application to the context of the territories.
