Summary

C-Tech aims to develop and test a digital smart city platform for urban planning, combining 3D city modeling with various data sources, including climate, energy, mobility, and user behavior via mobile phones.

The platform allows scenarios to be simulated to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and mobility, supporting environmental decision-making by local authorities.

Challenge

Create a digital platform that allows heterogeneous urban data to be integrated into 3D models and simulate planning scenarios in order to optimize energy efficiency and support the sustainability of cities.

Objectives

  • Develop an urban digital platform integrating climate, energy, mobility, and user behavior data.
  • Create 3D models of the city for scenario simulation.
  • Increase the energy efficiency of buildings and mobility.
  • Support environmental decision-making by local authorities.

NOVA Cidade in the project

NOVA Cidade (NOVA IMS) contributes to defining the architecture of the digital platform and developing 3D urban models integrated with data from various sources. The team participates in the modeling and simulation of urban scenarios, exploring information on mobility, energy, climate, and citizen behavior, and supports the construction of the urban observatory and visual interfaces that allow the results to be presented to decision-makers and the community.

Results

The project generated the C-Tech digital platform, designed to integrate heterogeneous urban data and support the simulation of planning scenarios. 3D models of the city were developed which, combined with climate, energy, mobility, and behavior data, allow for the evaluation of solutions for the energy efficiency of buildings and transportation.
